Dr. Lindsey Kennedy grew up in the small town of Templeton, California. She received her undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. Following graduation from UCSD, Dr. Kennedy earned her Doctor of Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry, Fullerton, California in May 2016.

She completed externships serving US Army soldiers and their families at Camp Zama in Japan, the Navajo people at Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle Health Center in Bloomfield, New Mexico and the underserved population surrounding University Eye Center in Los Angeles, California. These externships focused on primary eye care, contact lenses including specialty lenses, pediatric exams, diabetes examinations and ocular disease. Prior to working at Vision Source, Dr. Kennedy was at a group private practice in El Paso, Texas which enhanced her training in ocular emergencies, dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration and co-management of LASIK/cataract surgeries. Dr. Kennedy primarily sees patients in our Wamego office and is currently accepting new patients.

Lindsey is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Kansas Optometric Association. She and her husband, a helicopter pilot, enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling and doting on their two cats.
