Kyler Knobbe, O.D.
Dr. Kyler Knobbe grew up on his family’s Western Kansas farm and ranch in Sharon Springs. He went on to attend Kansas State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Life Science in May 2011. In May 2015, he received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. During his time in optometry school, Dr. Knobbe gained his Student Fellowship and became a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. He was highly involved in many academic clubs including private practice, contact lens, and sports vision training to further broaden his interests. Also, he was selected by his class and faculty to represent in various leadership roles as Vice President of his class and a Student Ambassador of his school.
Dr. Knobbe completed his externships in San Antonio and Oklahoma City focusing on:
- Primary eye care
- Contact lenses including specialty lenses
- Pediatric exams
- Vision therapy
- Co-management of refractive/cataract surgeries.
He concluded his externships at the Viera VA in Florida where he received enhanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of many ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Dr. Knobbe strives to utilize the newest technology available in eye care for his patients and has special interests in ocular disease management, fitting all types of contact lenses, and providing thorough exams for patients of all ages. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Kansas Optometric Association.
He and his wife Maggie, a 1st grade teacher at Central Elementary, enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the lake, and attending sporting events at their alma mater, the K-State Wildcats! Dr. Knobbe primarily sees patients in our Wamego office and is currently accepting new patients.
